Saving · A practical writing project

How to Save Punjabi Writing Online

Nothing is more discouraging than losing a page you have just dictated. It helps to know exactly where your words are kept at each moment, and which copy you would still have if the phone were lost tomorrow.

A starting point

ਇਹ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਮੈਂ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।

In the browser, automatically

Whatever is in the writing box is saved in that browser as you go, separately for Punjabi and Hindi. Close the tab, come back, and it is still there. But it lives only in that browser on that device: clearing browsing data, using a private window or switching phones leaves it behind.

In a free account, on every device

Create a free account with your email — a six-digit code is sent, with no password to remember. From then on the writing in the box is saved to your account every few seconds and appears on any phone or computer where you sign in. If two devices have different versions, you are asked which to keep; nothing is overwritten silently.

As titled documents

Signed in, a title bar appears under the box. Type a title and press Save to keep that piece in My documents, where you can search, open, rename or delete it. Saving again with the same document open updates it rather than making a copy. Up to fifty documents are kept per account.

As files you hold yourself

For anything important, download a copy too: plain text for the words alone, a Word-compatible file for further editing, or a PDF for sending and printing. A file on your own device or in your own cloud drive does not depend on any website.

Privacy and deleting

Saved writing is tied to your account and can be opened only with a sign-in code sent to your email. You can delete single documents, or delete the whole account with everything in it, from the account panel at any time.

Your words, ready for the next step.

Start small. Review the meaning. Keep a copy.
