Your First Punjabi Voice Draft: From Microphone to Message

Start with something small enough to check: a greeting and one useful detail. A successful first attempt means you understand how to begin, stop, correct and keep your words—not simply that a microphone light appeared.

A starting point

Prepare a sentence you can verify

Choose Punjabi in the editor and think of a short sentence. Include a familiar name or time so you can compare what you said with what appeared. Use a quiet space and check that the device has the microphone you intend to use.

Start and allow microphone access

Press Start speaking and respond to the browser permission prompt. Speak the sentence once, at your usual conversational pace, then stop. If permission was previously denied, review that website’s microphone setting before trying again.

Wait for the settled words

Live words can change while the recogniser is deciding what it heard. Review after stopping, when the phrase has settled. If no text appears, check the displayed error rather than repeating a long passage into a microphone that may not be connected.

Turn the result into your message

Correct meaning, names and numbers first. Add punctuation and line breaks with the keyboard. Recognition may interpret spoken punctuation commands as ordinary words, so test a command before depending on it.

Keep a copy and build gradually

Copy your finished sentence into its destination or download it. Next, try a short paragraph, checking each section before continuing. Browser drafts are convenient but can disappear when browser data is cleared; keep your own copy of important writing.

Your words, ready for the next step.

Start small. Review the meaning. Keep a copy.
