Overview

Bol Ke Likho, available at https://bolkelikho.com, provides Punjabi and Hindi voice typing, writing tools and PDF utilities. The website is developed and maintained by TAJ IQ.

This policy covers the website and Punjabi Bol K Likho Android app (Likhari). The iPhone release is postponed.

Microphone and speech recognition

Voice typing starts when you choose to use the microphone and grant permission. Your phone or browser speech service processes audio to produce text and may send it to its provider’s servers. Soniox recognition, audio uploads and automatic cloud fallback are disabled for this launch. This is not an offline-only speech service.

We do not store microphone recordings on our servers. Speech providers process audio under their own privacy policies. Avoid submitting sensitive information unless you are comfortable with that processing.

Accounts and saved writing

Basic voice typing does not require an account.

If you register, sign in or contact us, we process information such as your name, email address, language preference and account activity. We use this information to provide your account, deliver sign-in codes, respond to requests and protect the service.

Android notes stay in app storage on your phone; optional Android registration sends your name, email, platform and language to our server and stores an account token on your device. Web account-based saving stores drafts and documents on our server for access across devices. Registration details may also be emailed to the website owner. These notifications do not include your writing or microphone audio.

Browser storage and PDF files

We use browser storage to keep local drafts, preferences and sign-in information. Clearing your browser storage may remove locally saved writing.

PDF editing and conversion tools process files in your browser. If you choose to email a completed PDF to yourself, the file passes through our server and email provider for delivery; we do not keep a separate copy of that attachment.

Document scanner and text recognition

Scanner photos and recognised text are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our server or an OCR API. Download your work before leaving the page. The scanner downloads free Tesseract software and language models from jsDelivr, which receives normal connection information such as your IP address. Printed-text recognition can make mistakes; review names, numbers and other important details before use.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies support features such as signing in. We also collect basic website usage statistics to understand visits and improve the service.

When Google Analytics is enabled, it may process information about your device, page visits and interactions. Analytics cookies are enabled through the website’s consent controls. We do not intentionally send your writing or recordings to analytics services.

Service providers and security

We use providers including Vercel for hosting, Upstash for database storage, Resend for email and the speech provider selected by your phone or browser. Providers may process information in countries outside your own.

Information is shared as needed to operate and secure the service, fulfil your requests or meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and your choices

Account information and saved writing are retained while needed to provide your account and related services. Android: My account → Delete my account removes the registration record; local notes are separate. Web: Account settings → Delete my account removes the web account and associated saved writing. You can also request deletion without the app by emailing support@tajiq.com.au; identify the app and registered email. We verify ownership before deletion. Limited records may remain where reasonably needed for security, legal obligations or backup recovery.

You can revoke microphone permission, clear local drafts and cookies, and change analytics consent through the available browser or website controls.

To request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, email support@tajiq.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Children’s privacy

The website is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the website changes. The latest version and update date will appear on this page.
